I didn't know who was developing the Canadian League game. I assumed that it had died, as I was thinking it would be something like a Canadian version of Madden. Since those games are so graphics dependent, I thought that by this point the game was dead. I didn't realize it was going to be so strategic a game.

I'd like to get it, but I don't see that happening for a long time. I just can't afford it right now, nor in the forseeable future. And if the game won't run on the laptop I'd need a new graphics card for the desktop (because I know it won't run on the desktop from what they've said).

What I don't understand, really, is just why it has such stringent requirements. I suspect there's a mess of unoptimized code in it.

Still, I'll take it!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11380041867258824155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16979831.post-80278483213266648392006-11-09T11:56:00.000-06:002006-11-09T11:56:00.000-06:00Okay, Michael saw and followed up on this post aft...Okay, Michael saw and followed up on this post after he got back from Texas. I believe the appropriate response would be something like OMFG!

The "holy grail" of Canadian Football League fans is a computer or console game based on the Canadian league. At one point it looked like it might happen, but the project apparently never materialized.

In fact, it did materialize. Your post is about it. I discovered this when I went deeper into the MF site, and discovered that the game is actually produced by Wintervalley Software. David Winter is the guy who was working on the CFL game, lo these many years ago. Glad to see he finished it, and I hope it sells real well. I suspect I'll be buying a copy myself.

And isn't it appropriate that the CFL screen-shot features a snow-covered field?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
