There may n...I'm going to go with All of the Above. There may not be an accusation against John Bolton that I would not believe. I'm not a North Korean sympathizer by any means, but I agree with their assessment of him as "human scum." Whether his assessment of North Korea, which provoked them to make such a statment regarding him, was true or not it did serve to illustrate his failure to grasp the concept of diplomacy. He has made enemies in many other countries as well but most of them have been far more diplomatic than North Korea or Bolton himself. As far as Lincoln's cabinet is concerned, I believe he knew the facts; he just didn't agree with them. He didn't want to concede anything to Stewart and was not only willing, but eager, to lie in order to win. I'm not sure if he considers this action lying or merely "giving information consistent with his views." He may be like a certain friend of mine who uses the phrase "revisionist history" as a defense when confronted with facts that don't support his arguments. Bolton has been caught in lies before. He lied in a form submitted to the Senate in July 2005. When presented with clear evidence of this the State Department itself lied on his behalf for weeks insisting he testified truthfully on the form until they finally relented citing Bolton's faulty memory as an excuse. In 2002 Bolton was trying to falsely accuse Cuba of exporting biological weapons. When officials from State Department intelligence and the CIA blocked him he tried to get them fired. He later denied doing any such thing under oath before the Senate and was contradicted by seven intelligence officers. Of course his perjury was explained away and nothing came of it. Then there was his known involvement with the whole WMD fabrication. I just wish the man would get what he deserves. <BR/>In parting, I first saw the term "Bushie" in a column by the late Molly Ivans well before the 2004 elections. Apparently, the administration has adopted it for their own.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
